Since then it's grown into a company that designs and runs its own software across quality engineering, retail, logistics, construction and education — built for the businesses and communities it comes from, not adapted from somewhere else.

Recently joined MAT-SA, strengthening the company's leadership and operational capacity as it expands its technology and business development activities. Born in 2001, Oyisa brings a young perspective that supports MAT-SA's goal of building an inclusive, innovative and sustainable technology company.
Ntombentsha Befile
Director of Quality, Agriculture & Rural Market Development
Ntombentsha brings practical experience in Quality Control within the citrus industry, with knowledge of inspection, quality requirements, operational processes and agricultural supply chains. Based in Addo, she strengthens MAT-SA's presence within the rural and agricultural economy of the Eastern Cape and contributes practical industry insight to the development of technology, quality management and business solutions for SMMEs.
Why MAT-SA builds its own tools
Most software built for South African townships, factories and construction sites wasn't built with them in mind first. MAT-SA builds each system around a real, local problem — a spaza shop's stock room, a factory floor, a construction site — then keeps it running and improving for the people who actually use it every day.
